Services Overview

Caring at Home provides a variety of home care services for our clients. Our senior care services are designed to cater to every aspect of your daily living needs. These include personal care, companionship, meal prep, medication reminders, care management, and light housekeeping as well as consultation and referral services.

Whether your loved one needs a few hours of companionship each week or more comprehensive daily support, we tailor every care plan to fit their specific routines, preferences, and pace of life. Our caregivers are carefully matched to each client, not just for their skills, but for compatibility, so care feels less like a service and more like a trusted relationship built to last.

How to Get Started

You do not need to meet any medical qualifications or receive a physician’s order to be eligible for private duty, in-home care. Caring at Home would be happy to provide you with a no-cost/no-obligation evaluation of your needs or wants prior to starting services.

During your evaluation, we’ll take the time to understand your loved one’s daily routine, any challenges they’re facing, and the type of support that would make the biggest difference — whether that’s a few hours a week or around-the-clock care. From there, we’ll recommend a plan built specifically around their needs, with no pressure and no commitment required until you’re ready to move forward.

Caregiver Matching

Caring at Home has been providing high-quality home care services to seniors and their families for many years. One of the things that makes us so successful is our commitment to finding the right caregiver for each client. We take great care in matching caregivers with seniors, and we go above and beyond to make sure that everyone is a good fit. This dedication to finding the best caregiver for each patient has helped us develop a large pool of qualified and dedicated caregivers. Our caregivers are all highly skilled and experienced, and they truly share our passion for helping seniors stay healthy and comfortable in their own homes.

Continuity of Care

When it comes to senior home care, consistency and continuity are key. A stable, reliable caregiver can help your loved one feel comfortable and safe in their own home. Our caregivers are experienced and qualified, and we have a wide network of resources to draw from should any unexpected situations arise. Our caregivers will work hard to establish a close relationship with you or your senior loved one so that they will feel comfortable and confident they’ll be there for you when you need them most. So whether you’re looking for short-term or long-term care, we can help you

Great care starts with the right person. We pair every family with a caregiver chosen for temperament, experience, and genuine rapport — not just availability.

Care that flexes with your schedule

Life doesn’t follow a fixed schedule, and neither should care. Whether you need a few hours of support a couple of times a week, daily visits, or full-time live-in care, we adjust as your family’s needs change, without added stress or complicated paperwork. Our goal is simple: make sure the right level of care is always there when you need it, and just as easy to scale back when you don’t.

Common Questions

Answers for families considering senior care services

Yes. Caring at Home provides home care services seven days a week, including evenings and weekends. Our management team is on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Your loved one’s needs do not follow a business schedule, and neither do we.

Caring at Home has the ability to place a caregiver the same day you call in many cases. We understand that care needs can arise suddenly, especially following a hospital stay or a change in a loved one’s condition. Reach out to our Utica office, and we will move as quickly as your family needs us to.

There is rarely one clear moment. More often, families notice a gradual accumulation of small signs: a parent forgetting meals, letting the house go, withdrawing from activities they used to love, or having trouble with basic tasks like bathing or getting dressed. If you have found yourself worrying more during visits, or spending your own time managing things they used to handle independently, it may be time to have a conversation. We are here to help you think it through, not push you into a decision.

Home health care refers to medically supervised services, such as skilled nursing, wound care, or physical therapy, ordered by a physician and typically covered by Medicare. Home care, which is what Caring at Home provides, focuses on non-medical support: help with bathing, dressing, meals, companionship, light housekeeping, and daily living activities. Both types of care can be provided at home, and many families receive both at the same time following a hospitalization or health event.

Medicare may cover some skilled nursing or physical therapy services provided at home under very specific conditions — you must be homebound and need part-time or intermittent skilled care — but it does not cover non-medical companion care, personal care assistance, or most of the services Caring at Home provides. Long-term care insurance policies often do cover these services. Our team is happy to help you think through your options during your free assessment.

The cost of home care in Utica, PA varies based on the type of care needed and the number of hours per week. Caring at Home offers flexible scheduling so families can start with the hours that make sense for their budget and adjust over time. During your free in-home assessment, our care coordinator will walk you through all of the options.
